7th JRA Chukyo Racecourse 'Obu Tokubetsu'

Obu City and JRA Chukyo Racecourse collaborate to hold the horse race 'Obu Tokubetsu'. On Saturday, August 22, 2026, as Race 6 on Day 1 of the 3rd Chukyo Meeting, a 1,800-meter dirt set-weight race for 3-year-olds and up in the 2-win class will take place. An award ceremony is also scheduled after the race with Vice Mayor Niimi serving as the presenter. On the same day, a specialty products fair featuring Obu City specialties will be held at the Chukyo Racecourse Piloti (Twin Hat 1st Floor) from 9:00 to 18:25 (ending when sold out). This event serves as an opportunity to showcase the charms of Obu City to racing fans and visitors.
