About this event
The 51st Cultural Festival hosted by the Kota Cultural Association will be held at Kota Town Civic Hall. Aiming to contribute to the enhancement and promotion of culture among town residents, this cultural festival exhibits the fruits of members' diverse hobby activities. In the fine arts section, works of Western painting, calligraphy, ceramics, chigiri-e (torn paper art), and photography will be presented, while haiku and tanka poetry will be showcased in the literature section. In addition, tea ceremony and flower arrangement works will be displayed in the tea ceremony and flower arrangement section, and bonsai, kimono dressing, flower arrangement, hand knitting, go, and shogi will be featured in the hobby section. Furthermore, in the performing arts section, presentations of minyo (folk songs), Japanese dance, folk dance, shigin (poetry chanting), kenshibu (sword and poetry dance), chorus, wind orchestra, taiko drumming, ballet, hula dance, koto, and musical nursery rhymes are scheduled, with performing arts presentations taking place at Tsubaki Hall on Sunday, November 1. The exhibition of works will be held from Saturday, October 31 to Sunday, November 1 at the Kota Town Civic Hall and the Library Gallery. Admission is free.
