About this event

Held in the old town area (Kyumachi) of Nabari City, Mie Prefecture, the "Nabari Architecture Art Festival 2026" is a free event where visitors can appreciate historic architecture and art. On the day of the event, guided tours and art exhibitions will take place. The guided tours are held in two sessions (morning and afternoon). Starting at 10:30 AM, the "Kenji Takizawa Architecture Tour," guided by Professor Kazuyuki Tanaka of Kindai University Technical College, visits buildings in the old town designed by architect Kenji Takizawa. Starting at 2:00 PM, the "Registered Tangible Cultural Property Tour," guided by members of the Nabari Machizukuri Association, tours buildings along the old Hase Kaido road. Both tours take approximately 90 minutes. Capacity is limited to the first 10 applicants per tour, and advance registration is required. Tour participants will receive an original tote bag. In addition, art exhibitions by artists and students will be hosted at Iwa Shimbunsha, the Ogawa Residence, and the Former Kitato.
