The "Iwamizawa Nebuta Festival 2026," which brings vibrant summer excitement to Iwamizawa, will be held for three days from August 28 to August 30, 2026, at the Station East Citizens Square Park and the central shopping district. Led by students from the Iwamizawa Campus of Hokkaido University of Education, nebuta floats crafted with passion from planning to construction will parade dynamically through the shopping street at night. This year marks the first time it will be held over 3 days, featuring not only the nebuta parade but also numerous food trucks to liven up the venue. With the rhythm of festival music and the passion of the haneto dancers uniting with the town, this dynamic event packed with students' creativity and enthusiasm will bring the end of Iwamizawa's summer to its peak. Admission is free.
