Held across Kosho-ji Temple, Ujigami Shrine, and Kyoto Prefecture Tea Industry Hall, the "75th Uji Tea Festival" is a traditional event offering gratitude to the founders of tea cultivation. At the venue, there will be Uji tea taste comparisons, a raffle, tenshin dining seating (with meal), free Uji tea hospitality, and tea ceremony seating where visitors can thoroughly enjoy Uji tea. Advance tickets are 5,000 yen (5,500 yen for same-day tickets) and come as a set ticket that includes 2 tea ceremony seating tickets, a tenshin dining seating ticket, an Uji tea taste comparison participation ticket, a raffle ticket, and an admission discount voucher for the Tale of Genji Museum. Event hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (reception for tea ceremony and tenshin seating is until 2:00 p.m.).
