About this event
On Monday, October 12, 2026 (public holiday), the Pink & Blue Ribbon Campaign awareness event 'Wave Of Light South Osaka 2026' will be held at Jodo Shu Kosho-ji Temple in Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture. This event is part of an international awareness initiative standing beside families who have lost babies through miscarriage, stillbirth, newborn death, etc., communicating the importance of perinatal loss and grief care (emotional support). October 9 to 15 is designated annually as International Awareness Week; in addition to the event at Kosho-ji Temple, Kishiwada Castle is scheduled to be specially illuminated in two colors: pink and blue. The event will be held from 14:00 to 18:00, organized with inquiries handled by Perinatal Loss Care 'Amana no Kai.' Through these efforts, the initiative aims to stay close to feelings of sorrow and words left unspoken, fostering a broader understanding and support network for grief care across society.
