About this event
The '28th Library Festival' will be held at Kishiwada City Library (Main Building). On the day, under the theme 'Discover Excitement at the Library!', a wide variety of programs will take place throughout the building, including a recycled used book and magazine fair, a dramatic reading of Shakespeare's 'Hamlet,' rakugo storytelling, an exhibition of works, and a stamp rally. In the 3rd floor study room, a recycled used book and magazine fair will be held, with a limit of about 10 books per person to take home. A cafe corner will also be set up. In the 3rd floor audiovisual room, the dramatic reading of 'Hamlet' will be performed from 10:30 to 11:45, and rakugo will be performed from 13:00 to 15:00. In the 1st floor entrance hall, an exhibition on children's literature author Yoko Tomiyasu and a foster parent exhibition will be held. Near the 1st floor stairs, a stamp rally visiting three facilities—the library, community center, and nature museum—will be held from 12:00 to 16:00 for junior high school students and younger. Other activities to enjoy include a postage stamp exhibition, can badge making, a hand aroma massage experience, a mini storytelling session, and a musical performance by the ocarina group Totoro.
