About this event
In conjunction with World Wombat Day, the event Wombat Day 2026 will be held to celebrate the world of wombats together. Starting with a live broadcast connecting Satsukiyama Zoo and Chausuyama Zoo in Nagano Prefecture, stage events such as the I Am the Wombat Face Contest are planned to liven up the venue. There will also be sales of new wombat merchandise debuting on this day, a Wombat Marche lined with specialty items, and wombat-related workshops. Visitors must bring indoor shoes to enter the first floor of Satsukiyama Gymnasium.
