About this event
The 41st Minoo Matsuri is a large-scale, community-based citizen festival held in Minoo City, Osaka Prefecture. Planned and operated by citizen volunteers under the concept of "citizen-led, government-supported," it is a signature event representing Minoo that has continued for over 40 years. This year's theme is "Color the Future of Minoo." The main events consist of the Tokimeki Hiroba and the Parade. At Tokimeki Hiroba, around 80 food stalls (night stalls) will line the Ashihara Park area, offering a variety of gourmet foods ranging from classics like takoyaki and yakisoba to kitchen cars. The outdoor stage will feature a diverse program including dance performances, musical acts, Yosakoi dances, and Bon Odori. In addition, indoor events such as woodworking crafts, Go and Shogi experiences, and a haunted house will be held at Maple Hall and the Central Lifelong Learning Center. The "Gathering Kids Craft Corner" for families with children offers hands-on woodworking and balloon art. The parade follows a roughly 1 km course from Minoo City Hall to the rotary in front of Hankyu Minoo Station, showcasing brass band performances and Yosakoi Naruko dancing. Parking and bicycle parking on roads around the venue are strictly prohibited, and using public transportation is recommended.
