About this event
JR West will hold the "Suiso Festival 2026" at the Suita General Rolling Stock Yard. At this event, various programs are prepared, such as operations usually not visible to the public at the rolling stock yard and vehicle exhibitions. In the car body lifting/lowering demonstration and traverser shunting demonstration, you can see train cars being moved through the air by large cranes. In addition, a mini-SL steam train riding experience and a Series 287 train riding experience (advance lottery) will be conducted. Furthermore, an event commemorating the 150th anniversary of the JR Kyoto Line will be held, offering content enjoyable not only for railway fans but also for families. Merchandise sales and food and beverage sales will also take place at the venue. Admission is by lottery via advance application, inviting a total of 2,000 people. Applications are accepted on the dedicated tabiwa page, and winners will be notified by email.
