The 'Sukematsucho Bon Odori Festival,' held at Sukematsu Park on Saturday, August 22, 2026, can be enjoyed from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. In the opening, dance performances will be presented by the Izumiotsu City Baton Twirling Association, Macaron sisters, the Kita Community Center Adult Dance Club, and SIM Dance Company. Following that, there will be a Bon Dance by Megu Adawas and folk dances by the Otsu Odori Preservation Society. From 19:00, after greetings from Makiko Matsui, President of the Sukematsucho Residents' Association, and Kenichi Minamide, Mayor of Izumiotsu City, the second part will feature performances of Senshu Ondo by Hakusen Tsujinoya, as well as Goshu Ondo, Ise Ondo, Kawachi Ondo, and more. Times and details are subject to change depending on conditions on the day. In case of rain, it will be postponed to the next day, Sunday the 23rd. Numerous stalls are planned at the venue, with food trucks including AG Cafe, TAKOMARU, Mentora, Kiki mind relax 6270, Odoru Ice-ya Oyako, Double Peace Kitchen, and Umegara again. Tent stalls will sell alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, shaved ice, cotton candy, soft-serve ice cream, conger eel (anago) tempura, grilled chicken, yakisoba, whole pickled cucumbers, croquettes, and more. In addition, fair games such as lotteries, smart ball, super ball scooping, target shooting, and coin drop (with glowing goods as prizes) can be enjoyed. It is an event where you can enjoy food and Bon dancing together.
