About this event

"Ibaraki Environment Fair 2026" and "Ibaraki Living Creatures Expo 2026" will be held concurrently at the Ibaraki City Culture and Childcare Complex Onikuru. The theme of "Ibaraki Environment Fair 2026" is "See, Touch, Enjoy, and Start! Our 'Decokatsu'," offering numerous programs where you can enjoyably learn through experience about Decokatsu (actions to create a rich lifestyle leading to decarbonization) and environmental issues. Meanwhile, "Ibaraki Living Creatures Expo 2026" will feature exhibits where you can interact with creatures living in Ibaraki City such as insects, frogs, turtles, and snakes, as well as guided exhibit tours, wildlife workshops, and biotope tours. Through both events, visitors have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of environmental issues and connect with the rich local nature. While some sections require advance registration or material fees, much of the content can be enjoyed for free.
