Izumi City 70th Municipal Anniversary Special Parade

About this event

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of its municipal status, Izumi City is hosting the "Izumi City 70th Municipal Anniversary Special Parade." This commemorative event introduces individuals and groups representing the city, showcases resources responsible for safety and security, and features a parade with local children participating. Through this, the city aims to foster its charm, safety, and dreams together with citizens, promoting municipal initiatives to highlight local appeal and encourage permanent residency. A major highlight is the Tokyo Disney Resort® Special Parade, where Disney friends will liven up the parade to the music of "Jamboree Mickey!". Local kids dancers chosen through open auditions will join in, allowing spectators along the route to dance and sing along. In addition, the "Duffy Bus"—a custom bus wrapped in the same plush, fluffy fabric as Duffy plush toys—will be on display, where guests can touch the vehicle body and enjoy commemorative photos. This parade promises to be a special day full of dreams and smiles, celebrating Izumi City's 70th anniversary.
