About this event

Held in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the municipal organization of Izumi City, the 50th anniversary of the historic site designation of the Ikegami-Sone Ruins, and the 25th anniversary of the opening of Ikegami-Sone Historic Site Park, the "Clean x Music Fes in Ikegami-Sone Historic Site Park: A Day to Pick Up, Play, and Connect" is an event where you can experience the history and charm of the Ikegami-Sone Ruins through cleanup activities and music. In the "O-Soji Gash" cleanup activity, participants will divide into teams to pick up litter in and around the park, working together to clean up the grounds. This program will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and novelty gifts will be given to advance registrants. The entire event will take place from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, featuring diverse programs such as hands-on archeological learning, stage performances, a children's fair, food trucks, and a stamp rally. While some activities charge a fee, admission and participation in the event are free. It will proceed in light rain, but contents may be changed or cancelled depending on the weather. This festival will be a family-friendly day combining community contribution with enjoyment of cultural heritage.
