Insect Festival Part 2: Rainbow Stag Beetle Edition

Held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the municipal organization of Fujiidera City, "Insect Festival Part 2: Rainbow Stag Beetle Edition" is the second installment following the highly popular Rhinoceros Beetle Larva Festival. This time, 60 rainbow stag beetle larvae will be given away, alongside an exhibition of rare insects. It is a hands-on event that can be enjoyed with children. The event will be held at the Fujiidera City Nigiwai Manabi Community Center (Aicel Shula Hall, 1st Floor). It is exclusively for junior high school students and younger, and advance reservation is required. Held rain or shine. For the event, participants must bring a cylindrical glass jar or hard plastic container with a diameter of about 10 centimeters. If you cannot bring one, a dedicated insect container can be prepared at actual cost (300 yen). As participation requirements, cancellations on the day should be avoided as much as possible, and participation is limited to those who can care for the insect until the end. In addition, pick-up by adults only is not permitted; attendance with the eligible child is required. The application period runs from October 16, 2026 (Friday) at 14:00 to October 31, 2026 (Sunday) at 17:00, but applications will close once the 60-person capacity is reached. As of October 16, 2026, 17:30, reservations have reached capacity and are paused, but reservations may reopen due to cancellations.
