About this event

Organized by the Himeji Junior Chamber, "Lighting Thoughts for the Future: This is HIMEJI 2026" is a free-admission one-day event held at Himeji Station North Nigiwai Exchange Plaza. On the community-participation stage, powerful performances such as Japanese wadaiko drumming will unfold. Tarzan Yamashita from Kiss FM KOBE will serve as the MC. In the evening, welcoming gourmet reporter Hikomaro, a "Gourmet Challenge" will be held where competitors race for speed and volume with local specialty foods. In addition, the unveiling of a "Commemorative Monument" gathering citizens' wishes and commemorative fireworks are scheduled. On the same day, the "PAPER LANTERN ART PROJECT" lighting paper lanterns will take place in the Central Underground Passage and Castle Garden, creating a magical atmosphere. As a citizen-participation stage event where visitors can enjoy Himeji's charms all at once, you can spend a day experiencing the world in Himeji with family and friends.
