Sone Tenmangu Autumn Festival

About this event

At the Sone Tenmangu Autumn Festival, traditional rituals such as the Hitotsumono ritual, Omenkake (mask placing), and Takewari (bamboo splitting where giant bamboo stalks are split and shattered) are performed. Furthermore, the energetic jostling and parading of 14 colorful Futon Yatai floats is one of the highlights of the festival. Also known for "Sone Tenmangu no Hitotsumono", an Intangible Folk Cultural Property designated by Hyogo Prefecture, this festival is an opportunity to deeply experience the local culture. It is a lively festival visited by many people.
