About this event
A special edition of the "Miki Walking Tour" visiting spots related to the Battles of Hirata and Omura, locations associated with the Battle of Miki. In September of Tensho 7 (1579), the year following the outbreak of the Battle of Miki, the Battles of Hirata and Omura took place between the Bessho clan forces attempting to carry military provisions into Miki Castle and the Hideyoshi forces. In this battle, the Hideyoshi side suffered the loss of Tani Daizen in battle, while the Bessho side's Ogo Danjo also committed suicide during retreat, causing heavy damage to both sides. On the day, commentary will include not only the historical background of each related spot but also trivia and fun facts. It is designed to be easy to understand even for those not familiar with history, and enjoyable for people of all ages and genders. The tour covers a course of approximately 3 kilometers.
