About this event
We are seeking participants for the 26th 'Autumn Uwano & Torokawadaira' Mountain Walking Meet to walk through the mystical Torokawa Gorge, selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Unexplored Regions. For lunch, rice balls made from freshly cooked 'Torokawa no Koi'—a rice that has won numerous contest awards—and 'Itajinojiru' soup made with local vegetables will be provided. It is a hiking event where you can fully enjoy autumn nature with family and friends. The course is approximately 9 kilometers, starting from Uwano, passing through Hachimaki Observation Deck and Soumi Falls, having lunch at the rest building, passing Torokawa Inari, and walking to the finish at Uwano. Appropriate hiking attire is required, along with items such as a water bottle, towel, backpack, rain gear, gloves, and regular medications. The participation fee includes lunch and is 1,200 yen for adults and 800 yen for children. Applications to participate must be made by Friday, September 25, 2026 (Reiwa 8).
