Shinraku-ji Temple Bell Ringing Festival of Happiness

About this event

As part of the Takatori Town Hometown Summer Festival 2026, a bell ringing festival will be held at Shinraku-ji Temple. Located halfway along the slope commonly known as 'Dosaka' in the Shimokojima district, Shinraku-ji Temple is also known for enshrining the graves of Osato and Sawaichi, characters who appear in the Tsubosaka Reigenki. At this temple, refreshing bell ringing will take place to relieve the summer heat. Food and beverage sales are also planned on the day, adding color to summer memories created by the local community. The event is organized by the Shinraku-ji Temple Bell of Happiness Executive Committee.
