Japanese name:飛鳥資料館 第17回写真コンテスト「遺(のこ)したい飛鳥」
📅 Fri, Jul 17, 2026 - Sun, Sep 13, 2026
About this event
Held in Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture, the "Asuka Historical Museum 17th Photo Contest: Asuka We Want to Preserve" is a photo contest themed around the one-and-only landscapes and scenes woven together by the historical ruins, rich nature, and the lives and livelihoods of the people in the Asuka region, where the foundation of the country of Japan was built. In Asuka, which is also drawing attention as a World Cultural Heritage candidate site, entries capturing the landscapes and scenes that are the fruit of the will and efforts of ancestors who sought to preserve ancient Asuka are solicited and exhibited. The exhibition of submitted works will run from July 17 to September 13, 2026, and voting by visitors for the Popular Work Award will also be conducted. Please take this opportunity to view the "special photos" of Asuka that people wish to leave for future generations.
