About this event
The 2026 Koyasan Autumn Vajradhatu Kechien Kanjo will be held at Koyasan Shingon Sect Head Temple Kongobuji. This kanjo (initiation ritual) is an important ceremony to open the door to Buddhist wisdom and deepen one's karmic bond with Buddha. Participants aim to form a connection with Buddha, purify body and mind, and attain wisdom. The ceremony dates are Thursday, October 1, Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3, 2026, conducted in multiple sessions each day. The entrance fee is 5,000 yen per person. Ticket sales will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, on the Ticket Pia website and at 7-Eleven stores nationwide, with the final sale date being 10 days before the opening day (Monday, September 21, 2026). Advance reservations exclusive to San-yo members will also be available. This is a rare opportunity to experience a special karmic connection with Buddha at the sacred site of Koyasan.
