Held in Kamitonda Town, Wakayama Prefecture, the "31st Tondagawa Yuyu Festival" is a major local event coloring memories at the end of summer. Held at Hikogoro Park on Saturday, August 29, 2026, various events kick off starting at 4:00 PM. In particular, fireworks starting around 8:00 PM beautifully illuminate the night sky over the Tonda River, marking the grand finale. Held every year with the wish of giving children a lasting memory of their summer vacation, the festival provides a fun time for local residents and visitors. In case of rain, it is scheduled to be postponed to the following week on Saturday, September 5. On the day, local product stalls and food trucks are also invited, allowing visitors to enjoy local specialties and delicious gourmet food. Donations and sponsorships are also being called upon to support the continuous hosting of the event.
