The "3rd Hoki Town Relay Marathon" will be held in Hoki Town, Tottori Prefecture. This event aims to provide an accessible running opportunity for everyone, strengthening bonds between participants through passing the tasuki sash while boosting local residents' fitness. The race will take place on Monday (Sports Day), October 12, 2026 (Reiwa 8), on a course around Hoki Town General Sports Park (starting and finishing at the rugby field). Divisions include Elementary School Division (Boys / Girls), Junior High School Division (Boys / Girls), General Division (Men / Women), and a Family Division. The course features 3 legs totaling 3.9 km (1.3 km per leg x 3 runners). Teams consist of 3 runners formed from schools, workplaces, neighborhood groups, sports clubs, or recreational circles in Hoki Town. Mixed-gender teams must enter the Men's division. The Family Division may be formed by family members of elementary school age or older. Medals will be awarded to the 1st through 3rd place teams in each division. Applications must be submitted to Hoki Town General Sports Park using the designated form by Tuesday, October 6, 2026 (Reiwa 8), with submissions accepted via email or fax. Race bibs and tasuki sashes will be provided by the organizers. Participants must verify their health condition beforehand; injuries during the event are covered within the town's enrolled insurance policy. For safety, non-runners are prohibited from entering vehicle roadways. Failure to follow staff instructions will result in disqualification.
