The "Mihara City Collection Exhibition: Koton, Beauty Transcending Time" will be held, showcasing 36 newly acquired works by Koton Hatamori from Mihara City's art collection. Koton Hatamori was a painter from Kosaka-cho who painted abstract art in his early years and was active in the Dokuritsu Bijutsu Kyokai (Independent Art Association). After traveling to Europe, he turned to figurative painting, depicting a wide variety of subjects including Japanese landscapes and figures. This exhibition displays a total of 36 works: 20 oil paintings, 7 watercolors, 4 sketches, and 5 colored paper works (shikishi).
