Celebrating more than 400 years of history and the charm of Hagi ware pottery, the "Hagi Tamachi Hagi Yaki Festival" will be held from Saturday, October 10 to Monday (National Holiday), October 12, 2026. The festival will take place at two venues: the Hagi Tamachi Shopping Street Arcade and Hagi Meirin Gakusha. A massive direct pottery sale will feature works gathered together from kilns and ceramic artists both within and outside the city. "Hagi Yaki Concierges" will also be stationed on-site to assist with any questions, allowing even first-time buyers to choose pottery with confidence. To enjoy the event even more, there is a direct-mail stamp rally where you can win local Hagi specialties. In addition, with the "Hagi Fes" gathering handmade craft artisans from across Yamaguchi Prefecture along with visiting food trucks, it is an autumn pottery market festival that the whole family can enjoy all day long.
