About this event

As a special feature of the Yonekawa Marche, a guided walking tour will be held by the "Kudamatsu Tourism Volunteer Guide Association." It is a tour exploring the history and culture of Kudamatsu City along with fun commentary. Along the Beisenko Literary Monument Promenade (Yonekawa), participants will be guided on foot through the Beisenko Literary Monument Promenade to Suetakegawa Dam, where they can tour inside the Suetakegawa Dam management office and inspection gallery, which are usually closed to the public. In Hanaoka, participants can explore the famous sights of Hanaoka with an old map in hand and take commemorative photos with a replica of the "Haja no Otachi" (Great Evil-Dispelling Sword). At Hanaoka Hachimangu Shrine, visitors will take a special tour of the "Haja no Otachi" and votive tablets (ema) at the historical museum, and visit Akaibo (Tahoto Pagoda), Hojoji Temple (Hanaoka Inari), and the former site of the Ochaya and Kanba. It is an excellent opportunity to experience the local history and culture while listening to the guide's commentary. At the Kudamatsu Yonekawa Marche venue, visitors can also enjoy soba-making experiences, a local specialties market, various hands-on corners, food and drink stalls, and stage events.
