HOT Sandal Project 2026 Exhibition: "Harvest Festival of the Future 2026"

About this event

The exhibition "Harvest Festival of the Future 2026" featuring artworks created by students participating in the HOT Sandal Project will be held. Continuing since 2012, this project marks its 15th year, and art university students stayed on Honjima, Hiroshima, Koteshima, and Teshima again this year. Visitors can view the students' artworks that convey the breath of the islands, created through warm interactions with local residents while experiencing the rich nature of the Seto Inland Sea. Admission is free and anyone can attend. Students are also scheduled to be present at the gallery during the exhibition period, offering a possible chance to talk with them directly about their work. In addition, "Everyone Makes It! Shiwaku Island Cat Workshop" will be held as an opening event, where participants can create original cards featuring motifs such as cats living on the islands. This workshop is designed so that even small children can participate safely.
