About this event
Furusato Kaigi Fair 2026, one of Japan's largest relocation events, is a valuable opportunity to directly consult with local representatives about living and working in regions of interest. From Kochi Prefecture, relocation concierges and multiple municipalities/regions will participate to welcome those considering relocation. Everyone from those who have just vaguely begun thinking about rural life to those who have made up their minds to relocate can obtain real voices and information. Over 230 regions from all over the country will participate at the venue, where visitors can enjoy casual consultations and conversations not only at region-specific booths but also at booths shuffled by 'what you can do.' You can search for regions under various themes such as near the sea, near the mountains, island living, areas with good transportation convenience, and historical/cultural landscapes. Additionally, areas focused on lifestyle—such as housing, dual-region living, child-rearing/educational environments, second life, living with agriculture, and outdoors—as well as areas specialized in work—such as Local Revitalization Co-op, multi-work, unique local jobs, business succession/entrepreneurship, and agriculture, forestry, and fisheries—will be set up. At the venue, a marche involving relocated residents from across the country, workshops on traditional crafts, and seminars on the Local Revitalization Co-op and childcare/education will also be held. A kids' corner is also available so families can enjoy as well.
