"Workshops in Sakawa," perfect for summer vacation homework and making memories, will be held at Roadside Station Makino-no-Eki Sakawa (Michi-no-Eki Sakawa). Artisans from Sakawa Town and the Niyodo River basin will gather to offer various craft experiences in a cool indoor setting. Visitors can enjoy making wooden keychains and wooden rings on Saturday, August 22; moss terrariums on Sunday, August 23; translucent Japanese washi paper art on Saturday, August 29; and cute accessories with knitted flowers on Sunday, August 30. Advance reservations are not required, but waiting may be necessary as the number of participants is limited. Early participation is recommended as sessions will end once materials run out. In addition, visitors can fully enjoy strolling around Sakawa Town alongside the concurrently held "Sakawa Shaved Ice Highway" and "Marutto Sakawa Stamp Rally."
