2026 52nd Sakawa Town Cultural Festival

The 2026 52nd Sakawa Town Cultural Festival is an event split into fine arts and performing arts divisions, where local children, students, and cultural organizations present the fruits of their daily activities. In the fine arts division, works in diverse genres such as chigiri-e (torn paper art), watercolor paintings, and etegami (picture postcards) are exhibited, alongside works by local elementary and junior high school students, crafts, and calligraphy. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience local art. The performing arts division is held over 2 days, featuring stages by unique hobby groups ranging from musical performances like choir and guitar playing to Japanese classical dance, hula dance, and entertainment acts. A colorful variety of performances are presented one after another in an engaging program that keeps the audience entertained.
