Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Ominato Band Concert: Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Antarctic Observation

This concert by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Ominato Band commemorates the 70th anniversary of Antarctic observation. The band, celebrating its 50th anniversary since being organized as a unit directly under the Commandant of the Ominato District, will perform a selection centering on familiar musical pieces. On the day of the event, a joint performance with a local junior high school brass band is also scheduled, providing a valuable opportunity to feel the history of Antarctic observation and connections with the local community through music. Admission is free, but a numbered admission ticket is required. Distribution locations are the Wakkanai General Cultural Center, the 1st Floor General Information Desk of Wakkanai City Hall, the Wakkanai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Jieitai Wakkanai Regional Office. As admission may be refused if the venue is at full capacity, arriving early with a numbered ticket is recommended.
