About this event
This marathon is held in Yusuhara Town, Kochi Prefecture, known as the "Land of Leaving the Domain (Dappan no Sato)," where the samurai patriots of the Meiji Restoration who opened the dawn of Japan rushed through. Under the theme of "Starting right here, inheriting the lofty aspirations of Ryoma and other patriots, for a new dawn of Japan facing present hardships, confronting oneself once more through a grueling marathon that challenges personal limits, blossoming one's potential, and achieving 'domain-leaving' like Ryoma!", participants take on a grueling course surrounded by magnificent nature. The course, with an elevation difference of over 500 meters, is ideal for challenging personal limits. On the day before the event, an eve festival is also held to deepen interactions between runners and staff, welcoming participants with local cuisine and warm hospitality. There are full marathon, half marathon, and 10 km divisions, allowing participants to choose according to their level.
