About this event

Held at Kyoho Winery in Tanushimaru-machi, Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, the 'Wine Festival' is an event aimed at familiarizing people with wines brewed from various fruits, starting with the king of grapes, 'Kyoho'. As the new vintage of 2026, 'Wine no Akachan' (Baby Wine), made from this year's freshly harvested Kyoho grapes, will appear with a renewed label design. In addition, 'Kajitsu no Utagoe', a sweet, low-alcohol new vintage made from freshly squeezed juice of Kyoho and Campbell Early grapes, will also make its debut. The brewery's unique draft wine, 'Heurige Wine', will be offered in limited quantities, allowing visitors to enjoy seasonal wine normally only tasted at the forest restaurant 'Heurige'. The annual 'Wine Lottery' costs 1,000 yen with no losing tickets, offering top prizes such as a traditional Japanese kominka lodging voucher, and first prize of a 3-bottle set of Kyoho wine. Furthermore, the 'Wine Forest' surrounding Kyoho Winery will bustle with various stalls, including food trucks. Strolling leisurely through the forest lined with the market while holding a glass of wine is also highly recommended.
