Tai-Fu Ennichi in Ukiha 2026
Japanese name:台浮縁日 in うきは 2026
📅 Sat, Sep 12, 2026 - Sun, Sep 13, 2026
About this event
The bond between Taiwan and Japan that has grown across the sea returns to Ukiha this autumn. Tai-Fu Ennichi in Ukiha 2026, an exchange event connecting Taiwan and Japan, will be held for two days on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Niji no Minou no Sato. The first Tai-Fu Ennichi was born in Ukiha City in September last year. In May this year, it crossed the ocean to hold its second edition in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Over 50,000 people visited the venue over the two days, making it a major exchange hub where Taiwanese and Japanese cultures, shops, and people came together. And in September, the 3rd Tai-Fu Ennichi will return to Ukiha once again. The "En" in the name represents Taiwan's "Tai" and Ukiha's "Fu" (Uki), signifying the bond ("en") that connects people to people and land to land, along with "Nichi" (day), embodying the wish for a day of shared enjoyment. Behind this name is the desire not merely to buy and sell products, but for people to meet across borders and language barriers, experience each other's cultures, and nurture new connections from there. The venue will gather a wide variety of shops, including Taiwanese and Japanese gourmet foods and sweets, lifestyle goods, original accessories, creator artworks, and workshops offering diverse experiences. For this 3rd edition, approximately 50 vendors from Taiwan and about 100 vendors from Japan are scheduled to participate. In addition, popular Japanese vendors from the May Kaohsiung event will gather in Ukiha from various regions including Kansai and Kanto. These two days can be enjoyed by everyone—from Taiwan enthusiasts and those aspiring to visit Taiwan someday, to those who have never had the chance to experience Taiwanese culture before. Eating, experiencing, and conversing—each moment may become the start of a new bond. Please come and enjoy these special two days at the venue, where people and cultures from Taiwan and Japan meet and new connections begin in Ukiha.
