12th Chikuzen no Kuni Iizuka Kaido Festival

Held in the central shopping arcade of Iizuka City, which once flourished as "Iizuka-shuku," a post town on the Nagasaki Kaido highway, the "Chikuzen no Kuni Iizuka Kaido Festival" is packed with fun-filled programs that bring smiles to everyone, including a period costume parade with many participants, stage events, and numerous food stalls. At the end, everyone can join in dancing the "on-do Iizuka" mass dance. Held around the central shopping arcade area of Iizuka City (Honmachi Shopping Street, Higashimachi Shopping Street, and the plaza in front of Cosmos Common), it offers convenient access from JR Shin-Iizuka Station and Iizuka Bus Terminal. Stage performers and food stall vendors are also being recruited, making it an event where the entire community comes together in high spirits.
