The 'Autumn Enmusubi Grand Festival' held annually at Homan-gu Kamado Shrine is a prayer festival for all kinds of good relationships—not only romantic connections between men and women, but also bonds with family, friends, and work. The principal deity, Tamayorihime-no-Mikoto, has long been worshipped as a god of matchmaking (enmusubi), and special matchmaking amulets are bestowed during this ceremony. Along with the ceremony, the 'Enmusubi Marche' will also be held at the Kamado-dera Temple Ruins and the Lower Plaza. At this market, renowned shops from within the prefecture will serve omusubi (rice balls), allowing visitors to feel gratitude and prayers for peace, health, and the importance of nurturing life, which are embodied in the origin word 'musuhi' (creation and harmony).
