Japanese name:令和8年度「棚田inうきは彼岸花めぐり」

About this event
Held in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, the "2026 'Terraced Rice Fields in Ukiha Red Spider Lily Tour'" is an autumn tradition where approximately 500,000 red spider lilies bloom across the stage of the "Tsuzura Terraced Rice Fields," selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Terraced Rice Fields. The contrast woven by the golden ears of rice and the vivid red spider lilies creates a breathtaking view that can be called an archetypal Japanese landscape. Recommended viewpoints include the three-dimensional scenery viewed from the middle slope of the terraced fields and the panoramic view of the entire terraced fields overlooking from the "Yahoo Hiroba" upstream. The Niigawa district surrounding the Tsuzura Terraced Rice Fields is also recognized as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, where thatched-roof houses remain and good old Japanese living lives on. During the event period, on-site sales by local businesses and new rice sales by "Tsuzura Sanso" are scheduled, allowing visitors to enjoy gourmet food as well. Because the stems of red spider lilies break very easily, great care is required around your feet when strolling through the terraced fields. In addition, traffic regulations such as one-way traffic will be implemented to ease congestion, and cooperation fees (donations) for landscape conservation are requested.
