About this event

This is a short-course version of the approximately 25-kilometer Genkai Walk held once a year in autumn. You will mainly walk through Tate no Matsubara and Shingu Beach spreading across the coastal areas of Shingu Town and Koga City. Feeling the sea breeze of the Genkai Sea, you will enjoy walking the approximately 9 km route over about 3 hours. The course starts at JR Shingu-Chuo Station, passes through the Nishitetsu abandoned railway track ruins, the Shingu Beach / Tate no Matsubara area, and Shingu Shrine, before returning to JR Shingu-Chuo Station. Highlights include the breezy Shingu Beach, the Tate no Matsubara area, and the abandoned track ruins of the Nishitetsu Miyajidake Line. The participation fee is 500 yen, and the capacity is 10 people. Participants must bring portable snacks, drinks, a towel, comfortable walking clothes and shoes, insect repellent, etc. The event will take place in light rain, but will be canceled in stormy weather.
