18th Miyako Town Summer Festival

The '18th Miyako Town Summer Festival,' a major event coloring summer in Miyako Town, will be held. At the venue, stage events including a ramune speed-drinking contest, brass band performances, and taiko drumming will unfold, and from around 19:00, a town-wide dance will take place to Tanko Bushi and Miyako Ondo, open for visitors to join. As the climax of the festival, about 1,000 fireworks will be launched from 20:00 to 20:20, illuminating the night sky. In addition, food and market stalls will operate from 16:00 until the end of the summer festival, adding to the lively atmosphere. On the previous day, the 'Miyako Town Summer Festival Eve' is also scheduled to be held, featuring kids' dance, food truck stalls, and a children's night market. Festival plaza tickets will be sold in a limited quantity of 300 tickets per day. In case of rain, the summer festival will be postponed to the following day, Sunday, August 23.
