2026 Hasami Summer Festival

The annual Hasami Summer Festival will be held in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture. Visitors can enjoy a variety of entertainment, including the "Hasami Dish Dance" (Hasami Sara Odori) where about 60 dancers perform with melodious clicks holding Hasami ware plates, along with diverse stage events. Adding to the festival's excitement will be wrapped lucky trucks and Hasami Town's popular mascot character "Hachamaru." Around the venue, approximately 350 "Kompra Lanterns" modeled after traditional Kompra bottles will be lit, painting a romantic and magical night unique to Hasami. At the climax of the festival, about 700 fireworks will be launched, lighting up the night sky with stunning starmine displays.
