Koba Rice Terraces Dandan Festival

Held at the "Koba Hyuga Rice Terraces," selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Terraced Rice Fields, the "Koba Rice Terraces Dandan Festival" is an event to enjoy a late-autumn moment against the backdrop of terraced rice fields after the autumn harvest. In the terraced fields where beautiful traditional Japanese rural scenery unfolds, wild boar soup (shishi-jiru) will be served and local agricultural products will be sold. In addition, a walk rally around the rice terraces and mochi-scattering (rice cake toss) will be held, allowing participants to fully enjoy the charm of the terraced fields. From mid-October to early November, cosmos and buckwheat flowers are in full bloom, making the scenery around the rice terraces even more stunning. It is also an ideal time for a stroll.
