Oita Science Park 2026

About this event

'Oita Science Park 2026' will be held, gathering high schools, universities, companies, and organizations active in Oita City to present a total of 64 science experience booths. Admission is free, and visitors, primarily elementary and junior high school students, can experience the thrilling world of science. In the 'Exciting Future Lab: Create, Learn, and Feel with Your Body', various experiences are available, such as slime making, bath bomb making, and doctor/pharmacist role-play experiences. In addition, programs offering hands-on interaction with cutting-edge technology and wonders of science are prepared, including 'Personal Sticker Making' utilizing ChatGPT, straw rocket making, experiments using liquid nitrogen at minus 200 degrees, and exhibitions of unmanned water-discharging robots. Furthermore, the 'Oita Prefecture High School Robot Competition', a tournament featuring robots made by high school students, will be held concurrently with free viewing. A survey raffle and stamp rally will also be conducted at the venue, and a market (marche) will be held concurrently at Niage Link Square.
