The 18th Oita Asian Sculpture Exhibition

About this event

Out of 275 submitted works from 14 Asian countries and regions including Japan, outstanding sculpture pieces selected through rigorous judging will be exhibited together in one venue. Visitors can experience at the venue numerous works filled with the passion and energy projected by emerging Asian sculptors. In this exhibition, introductions to exhibited works, artist interviews, and outlines of past events can be checked on the official website. The "Oita Children's Sculpture Exhibition" will also be held concurrently. On Sunday, October 18, an opening event will take place at Asakura Fumio Memorial Park, featuring an opening ceremony, an awards ceremony for the children's sculpture exhibition, kitchen cars and food/goods stalls, a mini-truck sauna experience, open-air tea ceremonies, a flea market, and performances of traditional local performing arts Kagura (Miyama-ryu Asaji Kagura Preservation Society and Itaisako Shinmei Shrine Kaguraza).
