About this event
'Karihoshi-Kiri Uta,' an ancient folk song handed down in the Takachiho region, is widely known across the country as a simple work song sung when cutting, drying, and storing grass for livestock feed during the winter. In this tournament, a competition is held among many participants to determine the national champion. In 2026, it will be held at a single venue due to large-scale renovations at the Takachiho Town Budo Hall. Admission is free for spectators.
