During summer vacation, Summer Family Theatre 2026: Summer Vacation at NAHArt, an event for the whole family to enjoy, will be held at Naha Cultural Arts Theater NAHArt. A wide variety of programs will unfold across the entire theater. The Small Theater offers ample opportunities to enjoy music, including the Baby Concert for children aged 0 to 2 and their guardians by the Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra, the popular Concert from Age 0 in NAHArt, and the Exciting Orchestra Experience where visitors can listen to orchestra performances and try conducting. In the Grand Theater, a special stage show exclusive to this event titled Everyone's Hero Show! Uchinah Kids Operation, created collaboratively by Okinawan children and professional creators, will be staged. Furthermore, the shared lobby will host festival booths, picture-card storytelling (kamishibai), and Kumiodori exercise, while the Small Studio provides hands-on programs ideal for independent summer study, such as a workshop on the traditional Okinawan instrument sanba and crafting original Shisa figures using red roof tiles from Shuri Castle. Nursing rooms, diaper changing spaces, and stroller parking areas are fully equipped, ensuring that visitors with small children can participate with peace of mind. It is a summer vacation event perfect for creating family memories through watching, crafting, playing, and learning.
