The autumn festival representing Shurijo Castle Park, "2026 Shurijo Castle Restoration Festival," will be held within and around Shurijo Castle Park, and on Kokusai Dori in Naha City. This year is a special year with rising momentum toward the completion of the Shurijo Castle Main Hall (Seiden), allowing visitors to experience Shurijo Castle uniquely at a time when gorgeous dynastic culture overlaps with the journey toward reconstruction. As a main highlight, the "Ryukyu Dynasty Picture Scroll Procession" will be held on Sunday, November 1, gorgeously recreating the grand historical tale of the Ryukyu Kingdom on Kokusai Dori. In addition, on Monday, November 2, a special program is scheduled where visitors can see the dignified King and graceful Queen up close during their official appearance. On Tuesday, November 3 (public holiday), the "Koshiki Procession" will take place across the entire town of Shuri, splendidly recreating how the King visited three temples to pray for the peace of the nation and bountiful harvests. This festival connects the history and culture of the Ryukyu Kingdom to the future, offering a chance to enjoy the special appearance of Shurijo Castle that can only be encountered now as it heads toward the completion of the Main Hall.
