Japanese name:【参加者募集!!】カーミージーの生き物調べ『体験学習会』
📅 Sat, Sep 26, 2026
About this event
To work on nature restoration together with citizens, Urasoe City is holding the "Experiential Learning Session" to investigate the creatures of Kaamijii. Both experienced participants and first-timers are very welcome. For research guidance and instruction, Mayu Shikatani and Norikazu Shikatani from "Shikatani Nature Guide" are welcomed to conduct a fun survey while explaining how to investigate, creature names, and their ecology. In the coastline benthic animal survey, creatures living along the water's edge will be investigated. In addition, besides studying the creatures in the inoh (shallow coastal reef lagoon) and its surrounding areas, a sediment deposition survey will also be conducted to check the turbidity level of sand using a simple measurement method. The event is open to high school students and older adults who live, attend school, or work in Urasoe City; however, upper elementary school students and junior high school students must be accompanied by a guardian. This is a precious opportunity to experience the richness of nature on the west coast of Kaamijii (Kujizaki).
