Ryukyu Festival 2026 Okinawa

About this event

Held in Okinawa for the first time in 28 years since 1998, "Ryukyu Festival 2026" is a grand celebration of diverse Okinawan music ranging from traditional folk songs to pop. In the past, it was held in the two major cities of Osaka and Tokyo, drawing huge enthusiasm every year. This time, set in the Theater Building of the Okinawa Convention Center, a gorgeous lineup of artists will perform, including Tetsuhiro Daiku with Naeko, Sadao China, Masaru Shimabukuro (BEGIN), Chitose Hajime, Kiyosaku (MONGOL800/UKULELE GYPSY), Kariyushi58, Diamantes, Parsha Club, Nenes, Tatsuya Shimabukuro, Tomoki Kiyuna, and Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko. Shinichi Tsuha will serve as the MC. Doors open at 14:00 and the show starts at 15:00. All seats are reserved at 7,000 yen (tax included). Up to one preschool child per guardian may sit on a lap for free, but a ticket is required if a seat is needed. Advance ticket reservations begin on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 9:00, and general sales start on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:00.
