Under the theme of "Welfare x Disaster Prevention: Expanding the Circle of Welfare and Community Disaster Prevention," the "2026 Okinawa City Welfare Festival" will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (National Holiday) at Okinawa City Gymnasium and Multi-Purpose Athletic Field. It is an event where you can look, touch, and have fun learning about welfare and community disaster preparedness that will be useful in emergencies. With stage events and various hands-on corners prepared, it is packed with programs that children and adults alike can enjoy. A diverse lineup of events is planned, including an opening ceremony, the Mr. Kagakku Disaster Prevention Science Show, and a performance by Southern Island balloon entertainer / animal balloon performer Zaki Oka. Admission is free.
